About Radio.co.ke

Radio.co.ke is Kenya's free online radio directory — a single place to find, stream, and enjoy 83+ live Kenyan radio stations from any browser or mobile device. Whether you're in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, or anywhere else in the world, we make it easy to tune in to Kenyan radio instantly, with no downloads, no registration, and no fees.

We built Radio.co.ke around one simple idea: Kenyan radio should be easy to access for anyone, anywhere, at any time. For listeners at home, that means switching between favourite stations in a single click. For the millions of Kenyans in the diaspora, it means staying connected to the news, music, and voices of home no matter the distance.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring every Kenyan radio station together in one easy-to-use platform, so listeners can discover and enjoy the full range of the country's broadcasting.

We believe radio has a unique power to inform, entertain, and connect people. It carries community voices, preserves local languages, and sparks national conversation. Kenya is one of the most vibrant radio markets in the world, with stations broadcasting in English, Kiswahili, Kikuyu, Luo, Kalenjin, Kamba, Luhya, Meru, Maasai, Somali, and many other languages. By gathering these stations in one place, Radio.co.ke makes that diversity easy for everyone to explore.

What You'll Find on Radio.co.ke

Our directory of stations spans the full spectrum of Kenyan radio — commercial FM stations, vernacular and regional broadcasters, gospel and faith-based stations, community radio, and internet-only streams.

Major Commercial and National Stations

Kenya's most recognised national stations are all here, including Classic 105 FM, Capital FM, Kiss FM, Radio Citizen, Radio Jambo, Radio Maisha, Spice FM, and Nation FM.

Vernacular and Regional Stations

Radio.co.ke carries the vernacular and regional stations that serve Kenya's linguistic and geographic communities, including Kameme FM, Inooro FM, Gukena FM, Ramogi FM, and many more. You can browse the full set by region or by language.

Gospel, Religious, and Youth Stations

Kenya has a strong tradition of faith-based broadcasting, and our directory includes gospel and religious stations such as Hope FM Kenya and Radio Maria. For younger listeners, urban and lifestyle stations like NRG Radio, Homeboyz Radio, and Ghetto Radio capture the sound of urban Kenya. Explore everything by genre.

How Radio.co.ke Works

Radio.co.ke is a web-based platform that works on any device with a browser — smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. There's nothing to install.

  1. Browse the station directory or search for a station by name.
  2. Click any station to open its page and press play.
  3. The live stream starts instantly in your browser, using HLS streaming technology for high-quality audio with minimal buffering, even on slower connections.

For many stations, you'll also see a Now Playing feed showing the current track and recent playlist — an easy way to discover new music and keep track of songs you hear on air. The platform is completely free: no subscription fees, no accounts, and no paywalls.

Who Radio.co.ke Is For

Radio.co.ke serves a wide and diverse audience — the commuter in a Nairobi matatu, the Kenyan student studying abroad, the farmer in Meru following the agricultural news, and the music lover anywhere in the world who wants a taste of home. The platform is also a useful resource for researchers, journalists, language learners, and anyone interested in Kenya's media landscape.

Who Runs Radio.co.ke

Radio.co.ke is owned and operated by Index Digital Systems (IDS), based in Nairobi, Kenya. The platform was launched in 2024 to make Kenyan radio easier to access for listeners at home and abroad. We maintain the directory ourselves — reviewing and updating station logos, locations, genres, and streaming links, and working to keep every stream reliable. You can read more about the team and reach us any time through our Contact page.

How We Source Our Streams

Radio.co.ke is a directory. We do not produce, own, host, or rebroadcast any radio content. For each station, we link to the live audio stream that the broadcaster makes publicly available online, in the same way a directory or aggregator points listeners to a public source. All station names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

If you are a station owner or rights holder and would like your stream updated, corrected, or removed from our directory, please contact us through our Contact page and we will respond promptly.

Stay Connected

We care about what our listeners think. If a stream isn't working, if you know a station that should be on our list, or if you have an idea to make the platform better, please tell us through our Contact page. Radio.co.ke exists for its users, and your feedback helps us improve.

You can also explore our radio guides and articles for in-depth coverage of Kenyan radio — from station histories and breakfast-show rankings to how the industry works.

Privacy and Legal

We are committed to protecting your privacy. You can learn how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy, and the rules for using the platform are set out in our Terms & Conditions. We encourage all users to read both documents.
